Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SPICE Protocol ("SPICE", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, discloses and safeguards information when you visit spiceprotocol.xyz, use our applications, or otherwise interact with our products and services (together, the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
SPICE provides risk-coverage and underwriting infrastructure for real-world private credit. SPICE is a technology services provider; we do not custody user funds and we are not a bank, broker-dealer, or investment adviser. References to the "Protocol" mean the on-chain smart-contract system that operates autonomously on public blockchains.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Contact details you submit through forms, waitlists, or email (such as your name, email address, and company).
- Communications you send to us, including support requests and feedback.
Information collected automatically
- On-chain data. Public blockchain addresses and transactions you broadcast when interacting with the Protocol. Blockchain data is public, permanent, and not controlled by SPICE.
- Usage and device data. IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, referring URLs, and similar analytics collected through cookies and comparable technologies.
We do not knowingly collect special categories of personal data, and we do not require account creation to browse this website.
3. How we use information
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Services.
- To respond to your enquiries and provide support.
- To send you product updates or communications where you have requested them.
- To analyse usage trends and measure the performance of our content.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security, or technical issues, and to comply with legal obligations.
4. Cookies & analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, keep the site secure, and understand how it is used. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; some features may not function correctly without them. Where required, we request consent before setting non-essential cookies.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers who perform functions on our behalf (such as hosting, analytics, and communications), under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
- Professional advisers and partners involved in our risk framework, where relevant and lawful.
- Authorities when required to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. On-chain data cannot be deleted by SPICE because it is recorded on public, immutable ledgers.
7. Security
We maintain technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
9. International transfers
SPICE operates globally and information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps to ensure an appropriate level of protection consistent with applicable law.
10. Third-party links
The Services may link to third-party websites, applications, or on-chain interfaces that we do not control. This policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy practices.
11. Children
The Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate we will provide additional notice.
